Why I've been M.I.A.

So the past few months, my life has changed dramatically and I've been neglecting this blog. I hope to devote more time to it as I get back into writing. What have I been doing in the mean time? Here's just a few things:

1. Went back to Baltimore for 3 months
2. Separated from my wife.
3. Moved out of my wife's place and into my best friend's apartment.
4. Started a youtube channel on my recovery journey.
5. Have been attending an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for borderline, bipolar, and eating disorder recovery.
6. Went to inpatient for a depressive episode.
7. Removed all the toxic people from my life.
8. Made some incredible friends.
9. Delved more into my painting.
10. Focused more on self-compassion and learning to love myself.

I can say, without a doubt, that I am much stronger and better off than I was a few months ago. The changes I have made in my life have made all the difference. I am incredibly grateful for all of the change, however painful it may have been at times. I feel like a new person, but more than anything, I feel like myself for once. I know who I am. I am starting to love the person I am.

I am proud of everything I've made it through and am here to tell my story. Mental illness still has such a terrible stigma and I want to do my part to combat it by telling my story. I promise to be better about writing. In the mean time, feel free to check out my youtube channel and ask me anything.
